Mysterious Disappearance of KPSEA Candidate
A family in Bonchari, Kisii County, is in excruciating pain over the unexplained loss of their son, a Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) candidate, who vanished only one day before Monday’s national exams. Parents say that their child, identified as Marube, the KPSEA candidate at Itibo ELCK Primary School, vanished a month ago and is still missing.
“He was dressed in black pants and had red and pink shoes.” “I am requesting help to locate my child so he can take his exams alongside others,” the boy’s mother, Veronicah Ogembo, told reporters on Sunday. During the conversation, Ogembo related how one day she returned home to discover her son was gone.
Marube’s mother informed his grandmother of what had happened after her son vanished. Asking other kids if they had seen their relatives was the first thing to do. The family organized a search party for the missing youngster after this failed to provide results.
As a result, Marube’s mother is currently pleading with locals and law enforcement to assist her in finding her son so he can take the tests with other applicants. Marube is one of the 1.2 million students scheduled to take the KPSEA exams in 2023. It is anticipated that 1.4 million more students would take the KCPE exam.
There have been past reports of candidates going missing right before national exams. The case of Cyrus Onsando’s disappearance before his examinations at Green Valley Academy in Kisii County was reported by his family in September 2022.
The family has never located their son, despite the incident having been reported to the Nyanchwa Police Station. The family is holding onto hope that they will discover their kid alive even though they haven’t been able to locate him since.
