TSC Orders Field Officers on Leave to Resume Duty
The announcement was made by TSC CEO Nancy Macharia. She explained that it was a component of the organization’s plan for getting ready for the national exams.
Macharia stated that this was one of the steps taken to guarantee the success of the last stage of the national examination preparations.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) will be monitored and administered by the field officers.
The field officers will also aid in the efficient administration of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).
The concurrent administration of the KCPE and KPSEA has been announced by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
The two national tests will begin with rehearsals on October 27 and culminate . Exams will commence on Monday, October 30, and lasting until Wednesday, November 1.
According to the examination body’s announcement, the KCSE exams will begin on October 10 and end on November 24.
Macharia claimed that all supervisors, invigilators, and examiners had already undergone screening . In order to reassure parents and pupils that the tests will go without a hitch. For the 2023 national exams, “the TSC has vetted a total of 223,223 teachers who will serve as supervisors and invigilators . Also 37,731 teachers who will serve as examiners,” said Macharia.
Macharia gave a speech at the beginning of the 2023 national test season. Ezekiel Machogu, the cabinet secretary for education, and principal secretaries Belio Kipsang for basic education and Raymond Omollo for interior security also attended the launch.
