Headteacher Found Dead Inside House

Following the discovery of headteacher Fred Lunani of Lunao Primary School dead and wrapped in blankets inside his home on Wednesday, April 3, police in Bumula, Bungoma County, have opened investigations.

After a lady discovered inside the home was taken into custody, the victim’s relatives expressed their horror and questioned the circumstances surrounding his murder, connecting it to a possible love triangle.

The deceased’s wife reported that she discovered her husband’s lifeless body inside his home, wrapped in blankets and bound on both hands and legs.

“I’m in sorrow for my late spouse. The wife sobbed, “I found him tied up like a thief, a whole headteacher.”

Ephrahim Mukamani, the secretary general of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) in Mumias East, has denounced the incident and asked the police to quicken their inquiry to find out more information about the headteacher’s death.

Maurice Makhamu, a former member of parliament (MP) for Bumula, characterized the headteacher as a calm individual who participated in local development initiatives.

“Investigations by the police must begin with families. Former Bumula MP Maurice Makhamu observed, “The deceased was a peaceful man, focused on development and helping people.”

Following deaths in the family, a lady was taken into custody on Wednesday after using a machete to stab and kill her husband Vincent Kiprotich.

Kiprotich was on leave to spend time with his family. He was a member of the Special Operation Group (SOG) at Wargadud in Mandera County. The brother of the victim discovered the officer’s lifeless body, stab wounds deep, lying on their home’s floor.

Kiprotich passed away from his wounds while undergoing care at an Eldama Ravine neighborhood hospital. The primary cause of death, according to the experts, was significant blood loss.

The primary suspect, the wife, was taken into custody at a hiding place several kilometers away from the scene of the crime while the incident was being investigated.
