Primary school teacher stabbed to death
At Thigio Primary School in Ndeiya ward, Monday’s classes nearly came to an abrupt end when students discovered that their English teacher had been fatally stabbed.Even as they attempted to process the event, teachers found it impossible to comfort them.To support the educators and students, the Kiambu West branch of the Kenya National Union of Teachers paid a visit to the school.
The administrators, led by branch secretary Michael Muna, announced that the teaching fraternity had lost a dedicated, modest, and personable educator. According to family members, Irene Ng’endo was stabbed on Saturday afternoon at her residence in Kamirithu village, which is part of the Limuru constituency in Kiambu county, by an unidentified individual.
Njenga Murugami, one of them, claimed that after she began yelling, neighbors arrived.”The neighbors did not witness anyone departing when they arrived. He remarked, “All they saw was her attempting to scroll outside her house. They called a taxi and rushed her to Tigoni hospital, where she was pronounced dead.”
No one has been taken into custody in relation to the Saturday incident, according to Phillip Mwania, the head of the Limuru subcounty police.”The assailant fled after stabbing her in the abdomen. That house was empty, Mwania remarked.
Speaking from his Limuru Town office, Mwania claimed that in order to hide evidence, the assailant took away the weapon he used to stab Ng’endo.Nothing was taken from the house, he continued. It was also wise that her phones and bags were inside the home. He claimed that there were indications of struggle during the stabbing.
Mwania continued by saying that inquiries had been made into the occurrence to determine what transpired.Mwania also pleaded with the family to provide the DCI investigators with any information they might require in order to piece together what transpired.
