Schools can use the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) to view their combined list of pupils placed on their list. Candidates who earned over 400 points in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) were sent to national and extra-county schools of their choosing, according to the CS. Additionally, the CS has requested that County Education Directors and Regional Directors of Education make sure secondary school administrators don’t charge parents more than what the Ministry of Education has set as a maximum.
Machogu claims that the County Education Board (CEB) lacks the authority to authorize tuition fees that are not included in the list. CS Machogu stated at the end of last month that the placement will be completed before Christmas and in two weeks. On November 27, the placement process began, with the CS promising Kenyans that all candidates would be treated fairly.
