Maina Njenga, a former Mungiki leader who is now a preacher, has questioned  why King Charles III arrived in the nation while Deputy President Rigathi  Gachagua was abroad. Njenga asserted that the president did not want Gachagua to bring out  unpleasant material in a media interview on Thursday.

“I would ask these people who send him out of the country especially when important guests are coming to the country, why do that?” he posed.

Njenga continued, saying that if Gachagua had been there at the meeting, he would have raised certain important points regarding the Mau Mau.Gachagua just returned from a trip to Europe. The absence of Gachagua from the State House ceremony on Tuesday has caused some Kenyans to wonder if President William Ruto was trying to keep his DP away from the royal family.

Following reports that Azimio coalition members and opposition leader Raila Odinga were present at the function, more queries were raised.Regarding the matter, Njenga stated that if Ruto hadn’t approved in advance, Raila would not have attended the event.According to the book of Amos in the Bible, two people cannot walk together unless they agree. Raila and Ruto spoke a long time ago,” he said. The former leader of Mungiki also denied that Gachagua was the main man behind Mt Kenya, as he had alleged.

Njenga claimed that the area only has a 30% stake in the current government and  lacks a kingpin. “Rigathi Gachagua, the deputy president, is not Mount Kenya’s chief. Alongside William Ruto, he serves as Kenya’s deputy president,” he said.
