On Sunday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua denied reports that there had been a falling out between him and President William Ruto as a result of the most recent cabinet reorganization and a statement in which the latter chastised the former for his infamous “shareholders” remark. The DP Gachagua refuted rumours of a falling out between himself and President Ruto while speaking at a church service in Nandi County. He reiterated his belief that the country is being led by skilled people who get along with each other.

“Our government led by William Ruto is steady and very stable, there is no problem and there will be none. The President and I are not foolish, we are great friends and even if you hear us talking differently, it is still the same thing,” Gachagua clarified.
