University Student Kills Self After Boyfriend Dumps Her

Police in Kericho County are looking into the death of a 19-year-old who was discovered dead in her family’s home’s hallway.The student reportedly hanged herself after her boyfriend allegedly broke up with her.

Faith Charity Makhulu was nine months pregnant, was found dead after hanging herself with a manila rope from the rooftop corridor of her family’s residence.

However, because there was no suicide note discovered, the officers who responded  to the scene stated that investigations are still on to determine the motive. The student, who was nine months pregnant, was heartbroken after the split,  according to preliminary findings.

The mother reportedly woke up early because of the family’s Easter celebrations  and found the deceased’s body in the morning.

When the mother sent out a distress call, other family members and neighbors  heard her and hurried to the student’s aid. But by then, she was already dead.

The primary causes of the increase in these occurrences include, among other  things, loneliness, melancholy, mental illness, and strained relationships.

Human rights activists have demanded that in order to stop the increase in cases  among young people, mental wellness programs be included in public institutions  like universities.
