Kabarak University Student Stabbed To Death

On Friday morning, a student from Kabarak University was discovered dead close to the Kambi ya Moto trade center in Nakuru on the Nakuru-Mogotio Road. After taking their colleague to the university health center, where he was pronounced dead, university students reported the incident.

According to reports from area police, the 23-year-old nursing student had stab wounds in his stomach believed to have been inflicted by a sharp object. Detectives have since launched investigations to ascertain the cause of death. However, they presumed that the student was a victim of a robbery case gone wrong as his valuables were missing.

The deceased was moved to the mortuary at the Nakuru Annex, where a postmortem examination was planned to support the detectives’ inquiries. To expedite the case, Kabarak University students were asked to collaborate with local police personnel.

However, they insisted on increased security because the incidence had not been reported at the institution in years. In order to increase security, police committed to sending more policemen to the neighborhood and around the school as well as working with security guards.

Given that this is the third incidence involving university students that have been reported in 2024, the death is concerning. Following a fight between the two lovers who shared housing, a first-year student at Machakos University was fatally stabbed on January 9 by her fifth-year partner.

According to police accounts, the woman died after suffering a significant amount of bleeding from a neck stab wound. As a result, the body of a third-year Jomo Kenyatta University (JKUAT) student was discovered cut and put in plastic bags in a short-term rental home in Roysambu along Thika Road. Rita Wanei, 20, was strangled before her body was beheaded, according to the investigation that has been going on for the past week.Numerous suspects connected to the crime have been detained, charged, and are awaiting trial.
