PSC announces over 600 job vacancies; How To Apply
Recently, the Public Service Commission (PSC) revealed that over 600 positions were open in a variety of State departments and ministries. This notice, issued Tuesday, January 23, 2024, invites Kenyans who meet the requirements and are interested to apply by Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
The Commission’s website, www.publicservice.go.ke, has comprehensive information regarding the vacancies and the application process, as stated in the notice. Those who are interested are asked to make sure that their applications are received by the commission by February 13th, 2024, at the latest.
The advertised positions encompass a range of roles, including 22 slots for commissioners/secretaries administration and a deputy director at the Kenya School of Adventure and Leadership under the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration. Furthermore, the Immigration and Citizen Services Department is actively seeking a secretary for Refugee Affairs, along with openings for five directors, 17 deputy directors, and 80 assistant directors in Civil Registration Services.
Other departments, such as the National Treasury, Livestock Department, and Defence departments, are also recruiting for roles like Director of General Public Debt Management, Director of Veterinary Services, and Director/Senior Research Fellow/Senior lecturer, respectively.
There is a vacancy for a deputy commissioner general of prisons in the State Department for Correctional Services – Kenya Prisons Services. In addition, the State Department for Industry has at least 135 director and associate director positions open in a number of its departments.43 available vacancies in delivery management and public service have been noted by PSC. The department of labor and skills development is seeking candidates for 182 open posts across several divisions.
There are several roles at the State Department of Irrigation that need to be filled, including Secretary, Land Reclamation, Climate Resilience, and Irrigation Water Management. In addition, the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs is hiring for 22 posts.There are 167 positions available at the Mining Ministry’s various departments for individuals who are interested in the mining industry. The Commissioner for Petroleum post is open for application and is being actively sought for by the Petroleum Department.
