KCPE Results To Be Released Today
Today, November 23, the results of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam are expected to be announced.
Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu will preside over the examination results’ announcement at the newly constructed Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) offices in South B, Nairobi, per a notification from the Education Ministry.
Approximately 1.2 million applicants took the KPSEA (Grade 6) exam, and approximately 1.4 million candidates completed the KCPE exam.
In order to make room for the full adoption of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) in primary schools, which will now see children completing the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations, this year’s cohort was the last to sit the KCPE.
In a larger sense, these modifications to the educational system are a reflection of Kenya’s continuous attempts to modify its curriculum and testing procedures in order to better serve the requirements of its students.
The move from the KCPE to the CBC is a big step toward offering a more thorough and useful educational method.
