President Ruto donates 9,000 affordable housing units to KDF
To honor their KDF Day celebration, President Ruto has given the Kenya Defence Forces 9,000 apartments from the affordable housing initiative. Ruto asserted that the greatest way to show gratitude for the military men’s service was to give them houses during the 12th KDF Day celebrations at the Embakasi Garrison in Nairobi.
He claimed that the administration was actively working to make sure that KDF receives the affordable housing plan automatically.President Ruto reassured the commanders, “Last week, we finished the procurement process in three different barracks to build 9,000 units of houses for our KDF.”
To support the KDF engineering department, the government also finished the process of purchasing construction equipment.Ruto gave the military the mission to build roads, hospitals, schools, and bridges in order to expand and open up additional areas of Kenya.
Additionally, a comprehensive program was put in place to open the door for taxpayer funds to be used to upgrade KDF facilities and equipment. Strengthening the KDF would make it easier for them to defend the nation and repel hostile assaults. Ruto promised to continue supporting the military and praised the KDF’s efforts to maintain peace and security in the nation and region.
“I want to thank you for your service. Our safety and development depend on the security, stability, and developments in our neighborhood. We salute the Kenya Defense Forces for their courage, bravery, and dedication in defending and safeguarding our nation and its interests from foreign attack.
“Thanks to their incomparable bravery in placing themselves in harm’s way, Kenya and the surrounding area enjoyed a degree of peace and stability, which is a prerequisite for our success. First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto, Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, Chief of Defence Forces Francis Ogolla, and other senior KDF officers accompanied Ruto to the occasion.
