TSC Teacher Appointment To C4 Qualifications & Duties
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) appoints teachers to job C4 who meet the required work criteria.
Additionally, it’s critical to keep in mind that TSC job grade C4 teachers include the following educators: Teachers working as Senior Lecturer IV employees at Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).
- The Senior Master IV -teaching in Secondary
- The SNE Senior Teacher –teaching in Primary
- The SNE Teacher I – teaching Secondary
- The Deputy Head teacher II position
TSC APPOINTMENT TO DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER II- T-SCALE 9 (under Primary)
There are several prerequisites for teachers to meet in order to advance to this promotional grade, which positions them as institutional administrators in primary schools.
The designated Deputy Head Teacher II will answer to the head teacher of the school.
It will be necessary for this administrator to be knowledgeable about curriculum development and implementation as well as the execution of educational policies and programs.
For one to get promotion to this grade,there must be availability of vacancies in the establishment which are very competitive.
Inorder for one to qualify for appointment to the above grade of Deputy Head Teacher II,here are the requirements;
- Evidence to have served as Senior Teacher I under T- Scale 8 for a minimum period of three years
- Able to have a satisfactory rating in the teacher performance appraisal
- Evidence to have undertaken the relevant TPD modules.
- Own a valid Teaching Certificate commonly known as TSC number.
- Show an ability to supervise, to do mentorship and provision of professional support to other teachers;
- Meet the mandatory requirements outlined under Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
- Able to meet all any other requirements the Commission term necessary
Appointment to Senior Master IV -under Secondary
For one to get appointment to this C4 TSC grade , the teacher is expected to provide professional support, engage in mentorship as well as provide guidance and counselling to teachers .
It’s also crucial to remember that teacher promotions to this grade typically depend on the availability of openings within the organization.
For one to qualify for appointment to this position of Senior Master IV, ;
- Teacher must have served as Secondary Teacher I under T-Scale 8 for a minimum period of 3 years.
- Possess a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process;
- Evidence to have undertaken the relevant (TPD) modules.
- Possess a valid Teaching Certificate for training.
- Possess the key Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.
- Possess any other requirements regarded necessary by the employer.
