KWS Changes 2024 Recruitment Venue

On Tuesday, April 16, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) declared that Nyayo Stadium would no longer serve as the ranger recruitment center in Nairobi.

As a result, Kenya Utalii College Sports Ground will now be the location of ranger recruitment.

In a public statement, KWS stated, “In addition to the previous announcement for the hiring of rangers, dated March 19, 2024, the Service wishes to bring to the attention of the General Public the change in the recruitment center for Nairobi County has changed.”

As a result, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Kenya Utalii Sports Ground, recruitment will now take place.

KWS observed that the academic requirements and all other recruitment-related information stayed the same.

A minimum of a D (plain) on the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is required of interested applicants.

In addition, candidates must provide their original passport or National Identity Card as proof of citizenship once enrolled at Utalii College.

The cadets also need to be physically fit, under 26 years old, and free of felonies.

Applicants who are not native to Nairobi County will not be permitted to take part in the hiring process.

Individuals who were born outside of Nairobi County must show up in person at recruitment offices in their home counties.

In Lamu, Marsabit, Isiolo, Embu, Kitui, Machakos, Turkana, West Pokot, Samburu, Nandi, Migori, and Kisii Counties, KWS has already conducted recruitment drives.

Schedules for recruitment exercises in other counties are available at www.kws.go.ke.
