How To Check 2023 KPSEA Grade 6 Results
The results of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exam were made public by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday. Officials from the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) attested to having given headteachers a message explaining how they might obtain the results.
Grade 6 students can now access the results by contacting their respective schools. A spot-check revealed that students can only access details of their registration using the KNEC portal, but headteachers only can log in with the details of the school code together with the learners’ details to download them. This is through the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) CBA portal – cba.knec.ac.ke.
It will be necessary for head teachers to download, print, and give the results in certificate form to the parents and pupils. According to a KNEC insider, there won’t be any hoopla or festivities to mark the results release, unlike with previous national examination results.
“While releasing the KCSE results, CS Machogu stated that the KPSEA results would be released on the portal. It is the headteachers who have been given access to the results,” the source stated.
How to Access KPSEA Exam Results
Individual Grade 6 candidates’ examination results will be accessed online through a link on the KNEC website or directly through the URL: cba.knec.ac.ke.
Headteachers will be required to enter the username and password. In this case, the username is the school’s KNEC code while the password is the assessment number assigned during the KPSEA registration.
Candidates would not be able to obtain the results of the national exam by sending an SMS, unlike in years past. The first KPSEA exams were administered from November 28 to November 30, 2022, to 1.2 million candidates. Five topics were used to evaluate the candidates: social studies, Integrated Science, mathematics, English, and Kiswahili. David Njeng’ere, CEO of KNEC, stated last year that the KCPE exam marking would take precedence over the KPSEA results publication.
“KNEC is finalising the KPSEA and we are committed to ensuring that these reports are ready before these learners are ready for junior secondary schools in January 2024,” Njeng’ere said in November 2023.
