Raila Joins President Ruto For Royal Dinner

Leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Raila Odinga, was present at  a dinner at State House in Nairobi on Tuesday. King Charles III was scheduled to  speak about his visit to Kenya at the meal. Raila was seen chatting with National Security Advisor Monica Juma and National  Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi during a televised event.

The former prime minister was also spotted mingling with Cleophas Malala, the  secretary general of the United Democratic Alliance, and Alfred Mutua, the cabinet  secretary for tourism. At one time, CS Mutua was observed chatting casually with the former prime  minister while fixing the opposition leader’s coat and pockets.

Later, Raila, Wandayi, and Malala were positioned nearby, and Interior Principal  Secretary Raymond Omollo stopped by to speak with them briefly. In the meantime, a formal meal was arranged to welcome King Charles III to the  nation.

At State House, refectory tables were tastefully decorated with chairs with golden accents for the dignitaries in attendance.Despite their impasse in politics, there has been much conjecture that Raila and President Ruto have recently become more amicable.Raila visited State House for the first time since President William Ruto was elected, but he also went to the Kenyan government’s Africa Climate Summit at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC).
