3 Watchmen Found Dead in Mysterious Night Raid

Residents of Migori Town are experiencing dread as a result of the October 6 evening death of three night guards. Speaking to the media on Saturday, locals said that the death of the trio was concerning because their remains had been discovered all across the town.

Three bodies were discovered: one was pulled from a river, another was discovered  laying on a hallway of an unidentified house, and the third was discovered meters  from the other two. Police hadn’t yet arrived at the crime scenes or started looking into the killings. By the time this article was published, the causes of death and the crimes’  motivations remained a mystery.Residents thus accused the police of negligence and laxity, claiming they were slow in responding to emergency calls.

“Our county’s security hasn’t been very good if three people can be killed while the  police are on the murder scene with guns drawn,” the speaker said. One homeowner bemoaned, “Now we are being killed like animals .” One person blamed the police for not patrolling the town enough for the increase in  murder cases. They thus demanded an explanation from the county’s administrative staff and  encouraged Japhet Koome, the inspector general of police, to increase security in  the area. Others demanded that Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki act  immediately

Kindiki was requested to advise President William Ruto to prioritize Kenya’s security above sending 1,000 policemen on a peacekeeping mission to Haiti. “Why are they taking over 1000 policemen to Haiti and yet we lack adequate security?” Residents in Migori questioned the government’s choice.Police have not yet provided a statement regarding the killings or complied with the resident’s requests.
