400 Internship Vacancies for Presidential Talent Programme

The ICT Authority has started applications for the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (Digitalent), which includes approximately 400 internship opportunities.Stanley Kamanguya, CEO of the ICT Authority, encouraged Kenyans to register for Cohort VIII of the program, which will run from 2023 to 2024.The 12-month internship is designed to provide fresh ICT and engineering graduates with practical skills that will improve their employability and entrepreneurial talents. Non-digital skills such as critical thinking and entrepreneurship are included, with a focus on ICT innovation.

The 400 available seats are divided into the following categories: network and infrastructure (150), software development and artificial intelligence (100), information security (50), multimedia (graphic design and digital marketing – 50), and data analysis (50).

The deadline for applications is October 3, 2023, and women, people with disabilities, and residents of the ASAL region are encouraged to apply.So far, the program has taught over 2,000 interns who have obtained jobs in a variety of industries.This effort is in line with the Digital Skills pillar of Kenya’s National Digital Master Plan (2022-32), which is critical for the expansion of the digital economy and its accessibility to all Kenyans.
