TSC Remains Adamant in this Category of Teachers
Teachers have an important role in influencing not just the present but also the future, and a country’s progress is heavily reliant on education and information. Currently, the government, in collaboration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and other stakeholders, is committed to ensuring teachers’ well-being and contentment. Promotions, transfers, wage increases, and numerous morale-boosting efforts are examples of this.
However, recent changes have brought teachers some bad news. According to a Daily Nation source, TSC, led by CEO Nancy Macharia, has denied transfer requests from non-local teachers in the North Eastern Province (NEP).
Due to security concerns, local instructors in the region expressed a wish to relocate. Nonetheless, their employers have requested that they stay in their existing roles for a longer amount of time before any transfers are permitted.
This circumstance underscores the continuous difficulties that teachers in various places face.
