The Kenya Universities and College Placement Service, or KUCCPS, has extended the deadline for applications for inter-institutional transfers.The placement service extended the deadline as of today (Tuesday) to make up for a brief outage on its Mpesa paybill payment option, which has since been restored.

The deadline for students to change their programs and institutions is this Friday.People who want to apply for the transfers are advised to do so using the KUCCPS student portal at http://students.kuccps.net.Each applicant will be required to pay a Ksh 1,000 application processing fee.

To be qualified for a transfer, the applicant must have been assigned to the program from which they are asking.Additionally, the placement year of the candidate had to match the start of the program for which they had applied.

Transfer Procedure

To be qualified for the programs to which they are moving, an applicant must meet the necessary cut-off points and have their transfer application approved. Both the receiving and releasing institutions, who can now do this electronically, must also approve a transfer application.
