During a ceremony at PCEA Church Karatina on Sunday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua donated Ksh4 million toward the construction of two sports facilities in Nyeri County. The DP said that Ksh2 million will be granted to each project.

Gachagua emphasized that Nyeri people ought to have better facilities, particularly because they supported him and President William Ruto all the way to the end of the 2022 presidential race.The Deputy President hasn’t held back from restating the position that areas that supported the Kenya Kwanza ticket with the greatest margin will gain more than any other stronghold.

While addressing the matters concerning the region, DP Gachagua emphasised that the government was working to ensure that farmers benefit from the coffee, tea, and milk reforms he has initiated.Gachagua explained that reviving the 3 sectors would translate into more money in their pockets.

The Deputy President further urged Kenyans to be patient with the Kenya Kwanza government as President William Ruto and himself were working round the clock to resuscitate the economy and restore it to the level left by former President Mwai Kibaki.He took the opportunity to accuse former President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee II administration of embezzling public funds and leaving empty coffers, which he for the umpteenth time, claimed they inherited.

Gachagua predicts that the economy won’t fully recover for a few years. Nonetheless, he gave his assurance that Kenya was moving in the right path under President William Ruto’s administration and noted that the cost of necessities was declining.”We continued where Kibaki left off, gradually repairing the economy.
