KUCCPS Unveils New Payment Codes After Govt Directive on eCitizen

The new payment codes were released by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) on Tuesday.

This came about as a result of the government’s announcement that all government services ought to be connected with the eCitizen platform, according to a public notice released by KUCCPS.

KUCCPS services have been coded for eCitizen transactions in order to increase efficiency. Part of the notice stated, “Going forward, stakeholders are recommended to use the following payment reference codes while paying for the listed services via the platform.”

All local students who are paying for the provision of data for study must use the code PDRL, as per the latest modifications.

The PNGO code must be used by local NGOs and companies that will be paying for the data to be provided for research.

However, the PTDB code will be used by bidders wishing to acquire tender documents, and the PCCB will now be used by individuals wishing to purchase career books.

Colleges will use RMCL for the same function, while universities registering for membership will use RGMU.

“To pay for services not listed above such as applications for replacement or inter-institutional transfers, follow eCitizen payment instructions as provided on the respective KUCCPS portal,” according to a portion of the message.
