Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has posted an advertisement for teacher and teacher trainer training with the goal of improving the quality of Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) in Basic Education and Teacher Training. The goal of the training program is to increase the number of hired experts who will be working on developing excellent test items.

All interested teacher professionals who fulfill the following criteria are urged to apply, according the KNEC advertisement.

Teachers who possess the capacity to exhibit honesty and moral behavior, as well as those who have competence or specialization in the pertinent field of study.

Additionally, the teacher preparation programs and the teachers who are now employed at the designated grade levels.

  • Teachers in Primary School handling Grades 4, 5, and 6
  • Teachers in Junior School Grades 7 and 8
  • Teachers in Teacher Training Colleges, Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) and also those offerings Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE)
  • Those in Intermediate and Prevocational levels of the Stage-Based Pathway
