On Friday night, January 19, a police officer stationed at the Myanga Police Station in Kimaeti Sub-County, Bungoma County, opened fire on a suspect who tried to flee, setting off a chain of dramatic events.A police report that was viewed states that the event started when one of the officers keeping watch over the cells abandoned his partner on duty so he could go relieve himself.
