TSC Begins Mass Approval of Delocalized Teacher Transfers
In an effort to facilitate the relocation of delocalized teachers prior to the early reopening of schools, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has started the approval procedure for teacher transfers. To enable transfers in December and early January, requests for regional and interregional transfers are being handled.
TSC Regional Directors are in charge of overseeing the regional level teacher relocation within their respective regions. Teachers who want to move to counties outside of their stationed region must get permission from transfer boards at the national level. After their transfer requests were denied, 26,871 teachers are requesting to be sent back to their home counties.
Only 20,055 of the 46,926 instructors who requested transfers as of June 30 were able to find new homes. Prior to approval, TSC’s transfer policy guarantees a suitable replacement at the teacher’s location of departure and a vacancy at the selected station. The availability of openings, the need for a replacement, adherence to staffing guidelines, medical needs, or other pertinent factors are examples of criteria.
Teachers who have been delocalized can stay updated by using the TSC transfer application portal online. The TSC County offices will provide transfer letters to the approved applicants, who will then report to their new stations in January. In addition to addressing teacher shortages in particular areas, the delocalization program seeks to prevent conflicts of interest and improve national cohesiveness.
