The reasons why Kenyans no longer have faith in President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government have been elucidated in the National Conversation Report 2024.
Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast at the Safari Park Hotel along Thika Road, Mukurweini MP John Kaguchia presented the suggestion. He claimed that more than 300 people attended the discussion that took place on Wednesday, May 29.The research claims that a number of problems that have made their problems worse have devastated Kenyans.”The highlights of the conversation and the comments from participants include; on the question of whether Kenya is in trouble, the participants said yes.”
“The sources of disgrace and trouble for Kenya include vices that Kenya has held for decades, such as tribalism, corruption, inflation, strikes, lack of jobs, poor leadership, the huge gap between the rich and poor, mismanagement of resources, betrayal of public trust, and failed promises,” the report stated.
Advocate Peter Waiyaki, Justice Daniel Musinga, and Dr. Nelson Makanda led the discussion. Moses Wetangula, the speaker of the National Assembly, served as its host.
Nevertheless, the attendees conveyed optimism that Kenya may reconstruct itself by going back to the beginning and creating a healthy country that welcomes everyone.
The report also mandated that citizens report any instances that undermine the effort to combat corruption and substantially cut down on their involvement in it.
The report’s inclusion of Kenyans’ opinions comes amid worries over the country’s future.
Despite this, President Ruto has maintained his confidence that his administration will deal with the problems that have been burdening the average mwananchi.
