Salary Scale for Recently Promoted Teachers
Salary Scale for Recently Promoted Teachers
TSC Revised the Salary Schedule for Teachers Promoted. Following an extensive screening process, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) completed the promotion of almost 36,000 teachers. In the process, a number of variables were taken into account. They covered things like keeping regional balance, performance reviews, and the length of service at the current grade.
The teacher ratings from the Teacher Performance and Appraisal Development (TPAD) system were also considered.
Promotion letters have been sent to the chosen candidates, which they can use to verify their status.
These promotions will come with new salary and benefit packages that go into effect retroactively in March 2024.
This means that the promoted teachers will receive a significant pay increase.
1,341 Deputy Principals I in T-Scale 13 (D3) are among the beneficiaries; they would now receive a basic pay of Sh104,644 per month in addition to higher leave and commuter allowances.
Similarly, the 1,096 Deputy Principals II on T-Scale 12 (D2) will receive raises in pay and benefits, including housing and transportation reimbursements.
Additionally, Deputy Principals III in T-Scale 11 (D1) and Senior Teachers I in T-Scale 12 (D2) will receive increases in their monthly pay and benefits.
Head Teachers in T-Scale 10 (C5) and Curriculum Support Officers in T-Scale 10 (C5) will likewise receive increased compensation and benefits.
Senior Masters IV in T-Scale 9 (C4), Deputy Head Teachers II in T-Scale 9 (C4), and Senior Teachers IV in T-Scale 9 (C4) will also receive pay increases and higher allowances as part of their promotion advantages.
