Newly Banned Degree CoursesTSC Won’t Hire
A list of recently prohibited degree programs that TSC will not hire. Being a teacher is a noble career. In the community, teachers are revered as pillars of strength.
This is so that they can mold the next generation. The children who are currently enrolled in school are the future generation.
A group known as the Teachers Service Commission employs teachers. Once they meet the requirements, they are hired. A teacher with a degree in education, diploma, or certificate may be hired by the commission.
TSC Will Eliminate P1 Requirements
Nonetheless, the commission intends to eliminate the certificate program and establish a diploma as the minimal qualification for teaching.
Guidelines for individuals wishing to pursue a career in teaching were recently released by the Teachers Service Commission. The commission has prohibited the use of certain courses. This is a result of their lack of the instructional strategies required of all teachers.
The purpose of this action is to guarantee that educators possess the abilities and information required to better impart knowledge to students.
Part of the guidelines for registering new teachers stated, “Applicants for registration whose training is in subjects that are currently NOT in the curriculum do not qualify, irrespective of having undertaken a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and Enhancement.”
Furthermore, individuals who completed a PGDE with these courses are ineligible to apply for any teaching positions within the nation.
The subject content offered by these programs is inadequate in accordance with TSC guidelines. As a result, there is a lack of sufficient content mastery in two teaching subjects.
On the other hand, the commission states that individuals who possess a bachelor’s degree in either the arts or sciences, a post-graduate diploma in education (PGDE), and two teaching topics are qualified to register.
