List of KUCCPS Approved Institutions for First Revision of Courses
The following institutions are listed by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) enabling KCSE 2023 students to review and revise their applications for appropriate degree, diploma, and artisan-based programs.
The placement body suggested that students in need of assistance should go to one of the specified local universities.
KUCCPS provided a list of 51 universities according to the nation’s regions.Students are recommended to attend the Nairobi Technical Training Institute in Nairobi and Mathioya Technical and Vocational College in Murang’a.
In the Mt Kenya region, here are the listed institutions; Jeremiah Nyaga Technical Training Institute (Embu), Kiambu National Polytechnic, Thika Technical Training Institute (Kiambu), Mwea Technical and Vocational College (Kirinyaga), Nkabune Technical Training Institute (Meru), Nyeri National Polytechnic (Nyeri), and Tharaka University College (Tharaka Nithi).
The list of approved colleges and universities in the Coast region includes Likoni Technical and Vocational College, Technical University of Mombasa, Lamu East Technical and Vocational College, Kinango Technical and Vocational College (Kwale) and Pwani University.
In the Western region, the approved institutions are Kisiwa Technical Training Institute, Alupe University, Tom Mboya University, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Shamberere Technical Training Institute (Kakamega), Nyakach Technical and Vocational College (Kisumu), Ramogi Institute of Science and Technology, Siala Technical Training Institute, Kitutu Masaba TVC and Friends College Kaimosi (Vihiga).
Before April 4, 2024, the students were urged to make revisions to their courses.The Placement Body states that the first review is aimed at candidates who did not apply for degree programs during the application period and KCSE candidates with a C+ or higher but did not secure any of their selections submitted between February and March 2024.
Kenyans who took the KCSE between 2000 and 2023 but haven’t enrolled in a TVET program are also the focus of the application window.
To make the changes, go to students.kuccps.net, the student portal.If their application is rejected, students have the option to reapply for a different course in accordance with the cutoff points and KCSE scores.
