Former Cop Stabs Sleeping Wife

Allegations have been made against a former Administration Police officer for stabbing his 44-year-old wife and dousing her with hot water while she was asleep.According to reports, the pair had an altercation before the incident happened. The dad then went outdoors, forcing his wife to hide in her daughter’s room in order to prevent more arguments.

The wife at first ignored the movements she heard while she slept. About midnight, though, she soon heard someone breaking down the door with force.The woman said, “He came into the bedroom and asked me who am I to you,” but she said nothing in response.

She suffered serious injuries to her back from the man’s hot water spray, who is currently employed by the Nakuru County Government. Then he stabbed her in the stomach, creating such a severe incision that her internal organs protruded.

Luckily, she was able to get away and raced in the direction of the neighbor’s house. Still, she passed out and became unconscious in the process. She was quickly driven to the hospital by her neighbors, where she is presently undergoing treatment.

Her husband is believed to have stated that the wife had assaulted him, although the one on the receiving end. The victim was informed by the man and an investigating officer that she would be placed under arrest and that he would pursue custody of their child.

The man is also charged with threatening to kill the victim.Family relatives of the victim said that the man frequently became violent after drinking, causing mayhem and violence in the home.

Usikimye, a nonprofit organization that combats gender-based violence, took up her cause. In order to guarantee that the suspect is held accountable, the organization has demanded justice.

A statement from the organization said, “We are hoping that justice will finally  prevail and the OCS has agreed to change the investigation officer.” Gender-based violence (GBV) is becoming more prevalent, with both men and women  becoming victims. Chief Justice Martha Koome declared in November 2023 that a special model  court had been established by the Judiciary to handle GBV matters. “Gender-based violence is a form of resistance to the promotion of Gender Equality and the  campaign to end Gender Based discrimination and it must be resisted and fought  by all the available tools,” she stated.
