School Clarifies Student’s Cause of Death Amid Uproar
Kilungu Boys High School Board of Management has verified that an infection claimed the life of a pupil who died 11 days after being admitted to the institution. The autopsy records show, according to the Chairperson of the Board of Management, that the youngster was not hurt or bullied as had been previously claimed.
Kennedy Malinda, the Chairperson of the Board of Management stated, “The postmortem was done this afternoon at Chiromo Mortuary by the Government pathologist in the presence of all interested parties. The results indicated that it was a natural death caused by an infection.”He also confirmed that the autopsy was conducted in the presence of all the interested parties in the case.
The boy, who was admitted to the school passed away eleven days after admission which fuelled speculation of alleged bullying.According to previous allegations, the boy had marks on his forehead, which were speculated to be a result of injuries from bullying.
The boy complained of stomach troubles on January 25 and the school reported that he fell unwell. These records, however, contradicted the bullying allegations.The principal went on to explain that he was declared dead when he arrived at the hospital after being sent there in an emergency.
The youngster was taken to the hospital, which is 800 meters from the school, along with two teachers, according to information provided by the school.But the event has created a stir, with parents calling for justice because the 9-year-old died under mysterious circumstances.
The 9-year-old student died during swimming lessons, reportedly from drowning in a swimming pool.Moreover, it is said that the student vanished and her whereabouts were only revealed when her classmates showed up for class.Concerns about the children’s safety while attending educational institutions have prompted ongoing investigations into the situation.
