A body was discovered inside a house in the Allied Gardens area, shocking and alarming the locals.Ana Maria Mierau, a neighbor in the area, described the situation as “very surprising, scary, and give me the chills because I’ve never heard something like this.”Another local, Teresa Morrison, remarked, “I started seeing the police everywhere, and I’m like, ‘That is something big.'”
The San Diego Police Department reports that out-of-town relatives were paying a resident on Zion Avenue a visit. They discovered a deceased body inside the home’s chest freezer at around noon on Friday.
This location is extremely safe, according to Morrison. “Across the street from us is a school. There have never been any reports of violence or anything.Although the body is in poor condition, officials think the dead was a woman, but they haven’t been able to confirm this. It’s unclear right now whether the woman suffered serious injuries.
“It was concerning because I go for walks and I’m like, ‘What’s going on here?’ It’s a little bit too much,” Mierau said.As of now, police said the cause of death remains unknown. Authorities are waiting on results from the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances leading to this discovery and why the body was found inside a freezer.
