Steps for Filling Form One 2024 Transfer Request Form
Candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) 2023 who are unhappy with their secondary school placement now have the chance to ask to be readmitted to the schools of their choice.
To request a modification of Form One placement, the entire procedure must be completed online.
The detailed steps to apply for a change of Form One placement are listed below:
1. Making a request
The wish to transfer the child to the desired institution should be made clear in this request.
The school next assesses the open (unfilled) spots and moves on to the waiting (request) list, shortlisting and meritocratizing students. The school then chooses a candidate based on its standards.
2. Input from NEMIS The chosen school uses the National Education Management System (NEMIS) at http://nemis.education.go.ke/ to enter the information of the chosen candidates from their waiting list.
The school asks that the Ministry of Education enroll these pupils in the new school, and this step acts as an official record of the transfer request.
3. Approval Procedure Depending on the school’s classification, there are many stages involved in the approval of requests for school transfers.
The Ministry’s Head Office, County Directors, and Regional Coordinators, in that order, approve National, Extra County, and County schools.
4. Admission The learner’s information is transferred from the first school’s selection list to the new school’s list upon approval of the transfer request. This completes the formal transfer.
5. Printing of Admission Letters The new school’s acceptance letter is then available for the parent or guardian to view online.
These protocols guarantee a methodical and lucid process to enable students who are unhappy with their original secondary school placements to be transferred to schools of their choice.
