Couples Arrested for Killing their 2 Children

A couple in Chemundu Village, Nandi County, is under arrest by the police on suspicion of killing their children and disposing of their bodies in a pit latrine.The site owner discovered the two bodies buried deep within the toilet on Wednesday, prompting the retrieval of the 4- and 6-year-olds’ bodies.

As to the police report, the parents have been named as the primary suspects in the investigation into the deaths of the two children, which has been started by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).An officer at the crime scene stated, “The DCIO is investigating the entire matter, and we will only determine who did this after the investigations’ conclusions.”

After receiving a complaint that the two youngsters were missing six days prior,  police began looking for them. The pair under investigation has reportedly been having marital problems, and the  witnesses also claim that the husband has occasionally started arguments with  his wife.

“So we looked for the children but we were not successful, so we decided to ask the lady where the kids were, and she told us the husband wanted to beat her so she ran away and left the children behind and she never returned,” according to a witness.”This woman has been getting frustrated here in the neighborhood, so whenever they relocate to a new place, the husband beats her forcing the house owner to chase them away, they move to another place and get ejected again because of their drama.”

The witnesses saw that the dad frequently beats the kids badly, sometimes to the point where they sustain major injuries.The residents claim that the mother of the children had previously reported the husband’s violent behavior to the Chemundu Police Station.

Less than a week has passed since the bodies of two girls were found in Mukurweini, Nyeri County, at a dam.The villagers claim that the terrible incident occurred when one of the girls fell into the dam by accident, leading the other to plunge into the water to try to save her companion. Sadly, they both drowned.
