Kenya Power has released a statement elucidating the source of the statewide outage that rendered businesses inoperable: a malfunctioning system. The warning also stated that the utility company was attempting to restore normalcy. It was sent out approximately thirty minutes after the nationwide power loss was announced.

“We have lost electricity supply to various parts of the country due to a suspected  fault affecting the power system,” the announcement began. “We’re trying to get things back to normal as soon as possible. In due order, a progress report on the restoration will be released.”

Kenya Power, which is listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange and trades as KPLC, apologized to its clients as a result. The people was outraged by the utility company’s handling of the recurrent issue, as this was the third nationwide blackout in as many years.

Kenyans demanded that CEO Joseph Siror of Kenya Power and Energy CS Davis Chirchir be held responsible for the growing number of blackouts that are occurring around the nation.”This nation’s frequent power outages are a classic indicator of covert, nocturnal cabal activity.” It is not an ordinary occurrence and was planned, not happened by mistake. MP Caleb Amisi of Saboti bemoaned, “I dare say it is time for Davis Chirchir to leave Nairobi and retire in Kericho County.”

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), which has experienced three outages since August of this year, was also impacted by the outage.Kenyans were informed by a person with knowledge of the situation that only two terminals were impacted by the 15-minute power outage.

Although the entire airport was not impacted, it is a national blackout. Only Terminals 1A and 1E were impacted, the source added.”The electricity was restored when that was resolved. There was no impact on the other areas of the airport. There was no power for almost fifteen minutes.”On the subject, the Ministry of Energy has not yet released a statement.
