Kenyan To Send Workers to Israel for Ksh228000 Per Month

On Wednesday, the Kenyan government declared that her nation would be sending temporary workers to work in Israeli agricultural areas. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection made this announcement in Nairobi during a bilateral meeting with Israeli delegates.

The Israel team was led by Rami Cohen who is the Managing Director for Guri Avocados. “These opportunities number about 1,500 with a guaranteed net income of Ksh228,000 (USD 1500) per month, on 3 years renewable contracts,” the Kenyan government stated.

The Ministry of Labour states that the program will use a variety of agencies to recruit Kenyans. The National Employment Authority-accredited recruiting firms are the only ones permitted to find workers.

Eric Rutto, the president of the Kenya Chamber of Commerce, participated in the employment negotiations. Roseline Njogu, Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, disclosed that there were already 510 Kenyans employed in Israel.She clarified that the vast majority of them were working in the agricultural industry. Barely a month had passed since President William Ruto pledged to send 3,000 Kenyans each week to work overseas when the agreement with Israel was reached.

On November 19, the President said, “I have agreed with Bore (Labour CS, Florence) that we will sign bilateral labor agreements so that we export labor from Kenya.”
