KNUT Requested TSC to Prioritize Interns In Next Recruitment
In 2019, TSC began using contract teachers, also referred to as trainees. Teachers who are permanent or retired often get preference during the hiring process and are evaluated more highly than those who do not participate.
The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) are now in discussions about making substantial adjustments to the disciplinary system for teachers. The emphasis on giving intern teachers priority in KNUT’s proposals for the next round of teacher recruitment in 2024 is an important feature.
