The Commission plans to provide internship opportunities to qualified youth in a variety of specializations in accordance with the Government Internship Policy and Guidelines for the Public Service. This will allow them to obtain real-world work experience, which will enhance their competencies and make them more marketable in the job market.
INTERNSHIP POSITIONS
Seventy-eight (78) Internship opportunities in nine (9) areas of specialization are distributed as follows: –

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
1) Academic/Professional qualifications and Experience: –
a) Information Communication Technology
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, and Computer Technology, Software Development, Information Security & Forensics and other recognized Bachelors of Science ICT Courses.
b) Records Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Records and Archives Management/Library Science or Bachelor of Technology in Information Studies, Knowledge of Electronic Documents and Records Management Systems (EDRMS) will be an added advantage, knowledgeable and working experience in Computerized Office Applications.
c) Human Resource Management and Development
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management / Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution plus a Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution;
d) Finance and Accounts
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Economics, Business Administration, Business Studies, Statistics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Certified Public Accountants (CPA) part II or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) level II;
e) Legal, Labour and Industrial Relations
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a university recognized in Kenya, Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, Proficiency in Computer Applications, Ability to conduct research and provide legal opinions, fluent in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
f) Corporate Affairs
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Public Relations, Graphic Design from recognized institution.
g) Supply Chain Management Services
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; Supply Chain Management/Purchasing and Supplies Management, Business administration and Business Management with (Supplies/procurement option), member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or a registered student member of KISM, Certificate in Computer Application.
h) Statistician
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Economics & Statistics, Data Science or Diploma in Statistics from a recognized institution.
i) Counsellor
2) Be a Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 35 years.
3) Must have completed two (2) years and above after graduation from accredited and recognized institution.
4) Must be unemployed graduate degree and diploma holders who have not previously undertaken internship in other Public Sector.
5) Should provide Certificate of Good Conduct at the time of engagement.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
1) Must be a person of integrity.
2) Must be goal oriented, dynamic, self-driven and diligent individual.
3) Should possess good interpersonal, communications skills and be a team player.
INTERNSHIP DURATION
The Internship positions will be for a period of between ten (10) and twelve (12) months.
STIPEND
This is a non-remunerative position, however, the selected Interns will be paid a stipend of twenty-five thousand (Kshs.25,000) per month.
INSURANCE COVER
Selected Interns shall be required to have a valid personal accident insurance to cover for personal risks during the internship period.
MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER
Interns will be required to have a valid personal medical insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
WORK STATION
Successful applicants may be deployed either to the TSC Headquarters or County offices.
