2024 Co-curricular Activities Calendar
The full schedule of co-curricular activities for the 2024 schools, which includes a number of events held throughout the year, has been made public by the Ministry of Education.
The Eastern Region is scheduled to host secondary school games in Machakos County from April 6–14, 2023, during the first term. Swimming, handball, basketball 5*5, rugby 15s, athletics, and hockey are all included in this multisport competition. At the same time, the area will host swimming, handball, basketball, cross-country, and junior school athletics.
Rift Valley’s Nakuru County will be a hive of activity during this term, hosting both secondary and special school sports. Meanwhile, Primary Schools Athletics will unfold in the Central Region, particularly in Nyeri County, from April 6-12. Embu is the designated venue for the Drama Festivals, with Embu University and Kangaru School serving as hosts. Simultaneously, Nairobi County will host the Science and Engineering Fare at Moi Girls’ School from April 6-12.
Transitioning to June 3-13, Kenya Training Colleges will take center stage, organizing their ball games, goal ball, and Paralympics events at Machakos TTC.
Kisii County will host secondary school games during the second term, which runs from July 29 to August 7. Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Rugby 7s are some of the sports scheduled during this time. Junior school ball games will also be held in the area, and term II special schools games will take place in Kisumu.
As the year draws to a finish, Kakamega will host elementary school baseball events from July 30 to August 7. This all-inclusive plan provides a wide selection of extracurricular activities that support students’ overall development in a variety of subject areas and geographical locations.
