Good News to Teachers Manning National Exams

According to a news report from a reliable source, all instructors taking part in the 2023 National Examinations have received encouraging news from the Kenyan government’s Ministry of Education. The government guarantees examiners that this year they will get paid on schedule, the article claims.

A Ministry of Education spokesman said, “We want to reassure our examiners that  this year, we shall be able to put out all payments that are due to them in good time.” Examiners for 2023 will be pleased to hear this announcement, particularly as Form Four candidates begin their final week of KCSE exams, signaling the end of the national exams season.

According to the report, the education committee in the national assembly, led by Honorable Julius Melly, a member of Parliament representing Tinderet, has requested the Ministry of National Treasury and Planning to release funding to the Kenya National Examination Council in advance.

Honorable Julius Melly emphasized the need for the timely allocation of resources to ensure examiners are paid promptly upon completing their work. He stated, “We are now demanding that the national treasury allocates resources so that the Examiners are paid in time immediately after they are done with the work.

We have made it clear to the council to not ever do this without the money. We have also told Treasury to not ever engage the Examiners without the money being released to KNEC,” as quoted by the People Daily.
