Man Killed Brother’s Wife and Children, Arrested
A 27-year-old man was detained by agents from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday night on suspicion of killing his brother’s wife and children in Mesaria village, Kisii County. The DCI reported that local security authorities were called in and promptly went on the lookout for the guy wanted in connection with the deaths of his in-law and the three- and four-year-old children.
Police were able to find the suspected murderer after searching for hours, stopping him before he could leave the area.”The suspect who ran into hiding after the homicide was nabbed last night, hours after the Tuesday 14th incident within Kegogi location in Marani sub-county, Kisii,” according to a statement released by the DCI.
The defendant and his brother got into a violent argument about an unspecified matter, the cops said.”In an abominable resolve to settle scores, he sneaked into the brother’s house wielding a machete, cold-bloodedly slaying the helpless trio to the horror and condemnation of the neighbourhood,” said the DCI.
The guy committed the horrific act, fled without warning, and the local police officers began looking for him. The corpses were transferred to the mortuary at Kisii Referral Hospital in the meantime, and the suspect was detained by police while he was being charged.
A middle-aged guy was also charged with the cold-blooded murder of his ex-girlfriend at the beginning of this month. First-year Kisii National Polytechnic student Lucy Boke was discovered dead at her home, lying in a pool of blood. She had knife cuts on her lower abdomen and torso, according to the police.
It was said that the murder suspect traveled from Kuria in Migori County to the girl’s home in Kisii, where he carried out the horrific deed.
