Kipsigis Girls Deputy Principal Passes Away
Sylvia Ngetich, the deputy principal of Kipsigis Girls High School, passed unexpectedly on Friday morning following a collapse at her residence.
Ngetich was discovered unconscious in her bedroom, according to Peter Mutuma, the Kericho East Officer Commanding Police Division, who spoke with the source.
She was taken to the hospital right away, and when they arrived, they pronounced her dead. After that, her body was sent to the mortuary of Siloam Hospital while an autopsy was conducted.
Her cause of death has not yet been disclosed by the police, who thought that the postmortem would provide additional insight into the events. The Kericho County Directorate of Criminal Investigations began looking into the matter in the interim.
Christine Chumba, the principal of the school, asked the public to be patience while the authorities carried out their investigation, but she declined to comment on the situation. despite the fact that she told the OCPD that Ngetich had previously received a low blood pressure diagnosis.
Chumba stated that, according to people with knowledge of the issue, the deceased had even seen the doctor earlier. Social media was used by the Kipsigis Girls High School fraternity to express condolences at the loss of their teacher.
The school was nearing the end of its first week of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) National Examinations when Ngetich passed away. The last day of the tests is set for November 24, 2023.
