Principal of Nyambaria Suspended
Principal of Nyambaria Suspended
Charles Onyari, the principal of Nyambaria High School, is apparently no longer the center manager for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) after the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) suspended him on Tuesday. With a mean score of 10.89, Nyambaria Boys High School from Nyamira County was victorious in the 2022 KCSE test.
The high school principal was reportedly suspended while the exam irregularity was being looked into. Speaking with the source, a school-based teacher attested to the incidence.Nonetheless, the instructor, who spoke under the secrecy agreement, refused to provide further details about the event.
“The tests were unaffected by the circumstances. We still don’t have all the details behind the Principal’s suspension. According to earlier reports, the principal was brought to the Nyamira Police Station to give a statement regarding exam materials that had been discovered nearby.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), according to a second person with knowledge of the developments who is situated in Nyamira, has declined to corroborate the claims. “We have been following the DCI since morning but they have refused to release a statement on the charges levelled against the Principal,” he said.
Two further Nyamira County principals were allegedly suspended due to irregularities in exams. The Republic was informed on Tuesday by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu that the KCSE exam would be administered with the utmost integrity.
All of the applicants received a B or higher on the KCSE exams in 2022, and 383 of them received an A-. The now-suspended Onyaru said at the time that local community support and coordination between all parties were responsible for the successful performance. A thorough statement regarding the principal’s suspension has not yet been released by TSC or the DCI.
