Police Found Dead With Head Chopped
On Tuesday, Embakasi police officer’s body was discovered in a coffee plantation in Ndia, Kirinyaga County. One of the witnesses claimed that the dead officer had knife wounds and a severed skull, which may have indicated torture.
“I was with him, so I’m pretty astonished. We had met somewhere last night, but sadly, I learned today that he had been murdered and his body had been thrown in the coffee plantation,” said one of the witnesses.
A local said that the deceased worked as an officer at Nairobi’s Embakasi Police Station. It was unclear if the cop was working or on vacation.
After discovering the body, locals in Kirinyaga notified the police. After the police arrived, they removed the remains to a nearby mortuary. Only a few meters separated the dead body from his home. As the cops drove away carrying the officer’s lifeless body, the neighbors were shocked.
The body was brought to Kirinyaga’s Kerugoya Referral Hospital, where a postmortem was performed to determine the cause of death. Although the motive for the murder is still unknown, the police have now started looking for potential suspects.
On September 1, a nearly identical incidence was reported by locals, who discovered a man’s dead body with his head plunged in acid. Gichugu, Kirinyaga County, residents were horrified to find a man’s lifeless body tortured and abandoned in Njukiine Forest.
Gichugu sub-county police commander Edward Ndiragu verified the occurrence, saying that some ladies who were gathering firewood discovered the body and alerted the police. An eyewitness said, “We have just learned that someone is lying in the forest, and he looks dead.”
