KCPE Results to be Released Before Christmas
Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam papers will be marked, and results will be made public before Christmas, according to a statement made by Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang on Wednesday.Kipsang added in a statement that while KCPE would take precedence, the results of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will also be made public before Christmas.
Following a briefing on the current national exams on Wednesday, the PS commended all test administrators for managing a seamless procedure.”Because of the work that is pending, our children have to report to school in January, we will have to prioritise KCPE,” stated Kipsang.
Before the Christmas celebrations, he said, the parents would also be evaluated based on which schools their kids will be accepted into.”As we move to secondary schools, we have slightly less than 11,000 centers, So in terms of deployment, it might be better than what we experienced in primary schools,” stated the PS.
During his speech, Kipsang said that the government would do everything in its power to guarantee that the exam papers are marked and made available within the allotted period. To guarantee that the marking runs well and according to schedule, he noted that there will be two shifts.Starting on October 30, 2023, and ending on November 1, 2023, were the KCPE and KPSEA exams.President William Ruto oversaw the administration of the exams at Kikuyu Township Primary School in Kiambu County on the first day of the exams.
While 1,282,574 candidates took their KPSEA evaluations, at least 1,415,315 candidates took the KCPE exams. After 38 years, this was the final KCPE exam administered in the nation; the government is eager to transition to a more practical education curriculum.
