Transfer of Teaching Services

When the Public Service Commission makes a job offer to a teacher, it’s frequently a  time of transition and enthusiasm. A teacher’s career can reach a crucial turning point when they change ministries. It is essential that they comprehend how their prior work with the Commission will  be transferred to the new ministry.

A teacher begins a new phase of their career after accepting a job offer from the  Public Service Commission (PSC). Their prior service histories and work histories will be transferred during this  transition. Here is a detailed explanation of the procedure:

1. Submit a transfer of service request

The first step after accepting a job offer is to formally apply for a Transfer of Service. An official request to transfer one’s employment history and data from the Commission to the new ministry is made with this application. The following documents must normally be attached to the application:

Copy of the appointment letter that was obtained from the Public Service Commission.

Acceptance of Offer Letter: A signed copy of the acceptance letter attesting to the teacher’s readiness to join the new ministry.

TSC Clearance Certificate: The Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC) offers clearance certificates to ensure that there are no outstanding matters or responsibilities with the Commission.

2. Public Service Commission processing The Public Service Commission oversees the procedure when the teacher submits  their application for the Transfer of Service. The PSC examines the application and checks the supporting documentation. This procedure makes sure that the required paperwork is in order and that there  are no unresolved difficulties about the teacher’s prior employment. 3. Delivery to the Appropriate Ministry/Department The Transfer of Service documentation are sent to the appropriate ministry or  department where the teacher will be hired after the Public Service Commission  has processed them. The teacher’s employment history has now been formally transferred to the new  company.
