Results of the KEMRI Test Samples taken from Eregi Girls Students
The tests were performed on the students by the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) after they exhibited concerning symptoms. Students with positive test results were permitted to return to class with doctors there to reassure parents that the students would be OK.
Samples taken from 44 Eregi Girls High School students in Kakamega did not contain any signs of any diseases, according to a statement from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI).
On Thursday, October 5, the member of the Kakamega County Executive Committee (CEC) in responsibility of health informed the media that 44 samples out of the 106 pupils who had been taken to hospitals had been analyzed.
The 44 samples from the pupils who were hospitalized for the unusual symptoms that alarmed Kenyans did not have any signs of a common ailment.
Testing results for Eregi Girls The 44 kids whose test results had been received, according to the health executive, were permitted to return to class, while the remaining 62 remained in the supervision of medical professionals. Wasonga urged the parents of the hospitalized students to not panic because the test findings showed there was no need for concern.
“We handled the situation in accordance with accepted medical practices. The signs have been controlled, and the samples tested indicate that there was no infection that resulted in their distress, according to Wasonga.
In order to ensure that the students return to school in time to finish their studies, the officials said they will communicate with the parents.
