The noble profession of teaching is usually viewed as having great responsibility for determining how our society will develop in the future. Teachers who are deeply committed to their work frequently go above and beyond the call of duty and face a wide range of difficulties along the way.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has taken action to improve the Hardship Allowance, a financial support system designed to aid educators in particular grades and scales who experience extremely challenging conditions, in recognition of the enormous challenges faced by teachers.
Teachers who voluntarily serve in these testing situations are given a hardship allowance by the TSC as a way of thanking them for their unshakable dedication and commitment.
The TSC has set various Hardship Allowance levels based on various grades for the year 2023:
– Teachers in Grade D5 are eligible for the maximum Hardship Allowance, which is Ksh 38,100.
– A sizable Hardship Allowance of Ksh. 31,500 is available to teachers in Grades D3 and D4.
– Teachers in grades D1 and D2 are given a notable Hardship Allowance of Sh. 27,300.
– Students in Grade C5 are entitled to a stipend of Sh. 17,100.
